I Resolve to Resolve Some Issues.....

Thoughts are things and words are actions, I’ll be putting my resolutions out for the world to see.

  1. Remember next Christmas to buy a tree skirt garbage bag to wrap the tree in when we’re through with it, and don’t wrap the trunk of the tree in lights. (see prior post)

  1. Stop licking envelopes, I have a sponge licker, and I need to use it. Licking envelopes is gross.

  1. Read more and watch less TV

  1. Finish craft projects that I start. I have a bag of tampon angels that I started a year ago Christmas that don’t have halos, wings or faces. Two quilts that are half done, and an afghan that I started on vacation about 6 years ago that really need to be finished and donated. Which brings me to number 5

  1. Give more, I give a lot of my time, energy, and money to family, work and friends, but not enough to the community.

  1. I should stop drinking, but it’s all about setting goals I can achieve, so I’ll just say, drink less.

  1. I am going to think before I hormonally speak. I’m all menopausal, and I am very snappy and snide when I don’t mean it. I really need to focus on choosing my words and tone carefully.

  1. I am going to spend more time with my family. Including my brother Lumpy Dumpy the Big Fat Ape, even though he stares at my tits.

  1. I’m trying really hard not to keep important notes on post-its, I have stacks of them with random info on my desk that I sort through periodically and toss.

  1. This one is the biggy. I am going to try to let go of the people that don’t give back the love they get. I’m going to try to let go of the things that are taking up space in my mind, my heart, and my life so that I can give more to the people who truly deserve it.

So that’s it, it’s out there. Now I just need to stop procrastinating and get it done…
Oh yeah.
  1. Stop Procrastinating

  1. Madge, are tampon angels just the tampons out of the wrappers awaiting halos and wings? Honey, you are one darned crafty girl.

Your brother Lumpy Dumpy stares at your tits? Oh Madge! My first cousin from Oklahoma propositioned me. That's almost the same thing. Or maybe it's better. Or worse. One or the other.

  2. The angels are a process, you can only use the playtex because of how they're made, you have to loosen up the string, pull it down a little and tighten it up, then soak it in water and let it dry. I'll finish one and post a pic once the paint and glue is dry.
Lumpy is my real brother too, and he outright stares. It grosses me out. Steve thinks it's funny, but I wouldn't see him laughing if lumpy was staring at his junk.

  3. I don't think Lumpy should be stared at. He might like it. Ewww!

Now, as far as the tampons are concerned, I seriously can't wait to see what you do. I think you are a genius. Are you going to make these for Christmas ornaments? I think you should send one to Prince Charles. He told his wife that he wished he could be her tampon. I think that's kind of romantic. Or not.

  4. Yes, Lumpy-Dumpy stares. I would know, Madge is my Sister, but Lumpy is HER Brother. Hee-Hee. (Yes, we all have the same parents).

He once made an inappropriate comment when my dear Madgey (Or Maji-San, when I'm feeling my Asian roots. I'm Japanese By Marriage) was a Barista.

I'll let her share that one if she feels comfortable.

  5. Was it the time he said nice shirt, where'd you get those tits? If not then I don't remember

  6. I'm not a tampon genious, I saw them in a redneck Christmas book and thought they were cute. I just looked up goog images, and some of them are way nicer than what I make, pretty much puts me to shame. My mom sent me a little pink Christmas tree a few years ago. She said she took it out of the box before she shipped it because she knew I wouldn't open it if she didn't... my thought... then why buy it? Anyway, I gave the tree to our friends that sold everything and moved into the trailer, and made one for the top of the tree, but they can be used as ornaments because they come with their own string. And EWE to Prince Charles, he'd never get in past the ears.

  8. I try to let go of people of don't return the love they get from me, and while I do manage to make them no longer a part of my life, I am not able to forget them. I think of them often.

  9. I know token, it's really hard. I think that's what comes with having a soul and a heart. Once someone is in, it's hard to kick them out.

  10. The whole point of letting go is to make more room, I kind of think as my heart as a hotel. Everything has it's own room, and the people and things I try to let go of have to share a room to make space for other people and things.

  11. Good for you! I am also in the process of cutting out certain people from my life as well. I'm sick of those soul-suckers. And I've had enough!

  12. Good for you too Meleah. I updated the pick of my after tree so you can see it better :)

It was the time you were making Lumpy a latte or something. Some whip cream splashed onto your shirt. Lumpy said "If you weren't my Sister, I would lick that off".

I just threw up in my mouth thinking about it.
