Year three, and the aniversary tattoos continue. I drew this one, and the heart used to be pink, but my skin ate the color, and I need to go have it re-done. I think I'll add something to it., because people mistake it for a frog. It's on my right shoulder.
And Number 4
I got this one for my birthday, she's about 8 years old. I like how she looked like she was longing for something, or waiting for someone. She's on the outside of my upper left calf, just below my knee. People mistake her for an owl.
you should definitely get the 3rd one recolored again. But, I still like both of these very much!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I like them still. I sort of wish sometimes that I didn't get them on my arms, (I can't go sleeveless in the office) but I was running out of non-stretchy places. .
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have one on my left forearm. And I hate it. Because I can't hide it.
ReplyDeleteI've tried to cover them with makeup, makes me look like a burn victim, which imho looks worse.
ReplyDeleteMy new assistant has one on her wrist that she wears a giant bracelet over. Can't even see it.
ReplyDeleteAhahahhahahah! I've tried that too. It never works out!
ReplyDeleteMine's IMPOSSIBLE to cover. Unless I use band-aids.
ReplyDeleteWhich, I have been known to do.
I keep seeing your face and name on other blogs...so I thought I'd come see what all the fuss is about. From your profile info...I can tell you have amazing taste in movies and, apparently, amazing taste in husbands also. Very impressive.
ReplyDeleteI have only one tattoo. It looks a lot like your tattoo #4 and it needs to be recolored.
welcome to my place jacqui , thanks for stopping by, make yourself at home :) No fuss here, just a bunch of random banter.
ReplyDeleteI'm headed over to your place now :)
ReplyDeleteYippee! My evil plan worked! Just kidding...or am I? :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool, Madge Darling. But at the same time "OUCH!"
ReplyDeleteJacqui is very cool and she hangs around with a very cool pink chick. I'm glad we know her!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteI would love a tattoo, the idea of the pain just freaks me out too much....
Sometimes you have to have pain to get to to something really good. It's all worth it in the end if you don't pick something stupid, like a guy I worked with that got the red 7-up spot with legs. Who remembers the spot?
ReplyDeleteHey when you were having it done which hurt more -- the one on your shoulder or the one on your calf? For some reason I imagine it would be the one on your calf.
ReplyDeleteGo with the frog look. Hearts are so 1989.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the first tatt is supposed to be a heart, I think it looks better as a frog! Really! Just add some eyes.
ReplyDelete;-)
Hey, maybe you could do some little froggie cartoons for your blog - it's quite a good and simple rendering.
LOL at the frog on your shoulder! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember which hurt more, but I do remember the size of the needle for my shoulder was I think 3 needles, and the one for my leg was only 1. So probably the shoulder hurt more, but it was less detailed, so it didn't hurt for long.
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not a butterfly those are so 1962 :)
ReplyDeleteGood Idea with the cartoon 00, I'll have to think about that.
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeletePink is tough on white skin.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I love all tattoos. Because no matter, they represent something.
And now I want another one. Though that may be a permanent state of being.
I always want another one. And there's something about the sound of the gun. Every time I hear one I get a little tingle.
ReplyDeleteNice frog.
ReplyDeleteJust kidding. :)
I like the fairy. (insert your own joke here.) I wish fairies were real, actually.
I do too, but I'd be really sad if a drunk one flew into my windshield.
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteHum....your skin is a hungry beat. Feed it.
:)
FEED MEEEE Seymour.
