I decided to try the Saturday Centus this week
Exit 181, 1/2 mile ahead
I was thinking of the perfect words, I was hoping I could make you change your mind. Exit 181, 1/2 mile ahead, my breathing starts to quicken, palms sweat. I exit, and there you are, perfect as always, bags packed waiting for me, and I keep driving. I’m so sorry.
First, Welcome! Now that wasn't so bad, was it? Your little story intrigued me, made me a little nervous. Good going.
ReplyDeleteNamaste..........cj
Thanks :) it was easier than I thought. I'm just glad my link worked like it was supposed too. I think I did it wrong, should have posted first then linked. I'll save a new post for Sunday so it doesn't mess things up.
ReplyDeleteHi and welcome Madge ! This was very good and made me chuckle a lot !!! I love your wry sense of humor !
ReplyDeleteThanks, glad you liked it.
ReplyDeleteI like this. A lot!
ReplyDeleteI thought you would, it sounds like something you have done. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link... and nice job with this post.
ReplyDeleteThanks IT, you've been following/lurking for a while, but until yesterday, I'd forgotten to follow you. Follow/Follow alike ya know.
ReplyDeleteI waved with a heavy bloggy hand, not accepting your apology.
ReplyDelete:)
Good job!
Wow, heavy bloggy hand, that sounds serious, you better get that checked.
ReplyDeleteThanks :) Centus is fun
It does sound like something she would do, doesn't it? I liked this a lot...I kinda wish you had worked in the heavy bloggy hand though.
ReplyDeleteI know that was a great touch I wish I would have though of it Reffie is pretty clever like that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, well although I post almost daily, it's kind of a hit or miss thing with the topics. It almost on cruise control right now.
ReplyDeleteIt had to be done! You wont regret it!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this very much. Great job with the prompt! I could see myself chasing after your car, trying to hit it with a rock... I look forward to reading more!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I won't :)
ReplyDeleteThat was totally the visual I was going for.
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot going on in her head at that time, it seems!
ReplyDeleteHi Welcome to SC! I love reading all the stories each week. I hope you enjoy it, too. When you link your story, it is best to link directly to the URL of the individual post and not to your main blog.
ReplyDeleteTo do that you simply click on the post title, it will display in the box at the top of your screen (in this instance: http://i-madge-ine-the-twaddle.blogspot.com/2011/04/saturday-centus-anyone.html) and post THAT into the second box of the linky.
Your story for this prompt was wonderful. I enjoyed the simple, evocative writing. I am really going to enjoy reading your work.
Thanks for joining us!
I'm glad I found your site, I get excited to write about something different.
ReplyDeleteI figured out the linky thing, this time I signed up first, then wrote. For this last Saturday's I wrote first then linked. I think I have it down now, thanks for the pointers.
