I started making Aprons on Sunday. I designed the pattern, and it's not one size fits most yet,I was talking to a friend, and she said that usually these types of aprons don't fit bigger girls so there's no point in even wearing them. I have an idea how to change that, everyone should be able to look cute.
This one took me about 8 hours to make, but I think once I get in the zone I should be able to make them fairly fast. I have a friend that has a little store she said she could sell whatever I make.
Thanks Abby, I'm a little partial, but I really like it too. :P
ReplyDeleteyou are so freaking talented!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Adorable! Are you gonna pad the boobies? Or do you think it would cause a Mrs. Doubtfire incident?
ReplyDeleteThat is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou remind me so much of my mum, with this sort of thing.
Hahaha, for you, my sister, I will make some that button in, you can use them as pot holders when needed. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Babs, that's a huge compliment. :)
ReplyDeleteThat apron is simply adorable! I love pretty fancy aprons. Actually, I just love pretty and fancy anythings!
ReplyDeleteI know you do Linda, you pretty and fancy little thing you. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my god, that's so cute! I love aprons (I love cooking, so it makes sense!). How fabulous! Start selling them, definitely!
ReplyDeleteIf that isn't the cutest apron ever, I don't know what is! How much are you asking for them?
ReplyDeleteI like them too, especially when they're cute and functional.
ReplyDeleteWhen you told me you were making aprons, I had no idea how original they would be! You're a very talented (and pretty) girl.
ReplyDeleteAdd some stilettos and that apron is YOU, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThis might just inspire me to actually cook! (But I'll never be inspired to do the dishes.)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll do ok asking 40.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jacqui, still looking for pink chick fabric, might have to settle for chickens. Ewe.
ReplyDeleteI cooked all day today Paula, the cleaning will have to wait until tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely adorable! You should open an Etsy store, too.
ReplyDeleteI think that's what I'm going to wind up doing Jayne, I'm pretty sure I can't sell them to her with enough of a profit margin to make it worth her while, and with Etsy I can keep more of the money for myself. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable! I think you will sell bunches of them!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and clever. I recently was looking for a cute apron to put into a gift basket along with baking "stuff" for my daughter. You would be shocked to find how crappy and expensive most of them are in retail stores. I ended up at a gourmet kitchen store and paid an horrific amount (for what it was).
ReplyDeleteGood for you.
I thought I made my blog private, glad you were able to get through. I'm job hunting, and didn't want to leave it open, I deleted all my comments everywhere, so you'll have some anonymous ones from me.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try to get 40, my design skills are up to par, but I'm still perfecting the sewing sinceit's been so long

That is adorable. I left a comment some time ago, but it's not here. I want an apron like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat color do you want, and I'll get to sewing?!
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment before, I deleted all the comments.
I have lots of cute fabrics.
Well, Madge, I want a $100.00 Apron. I want to show it off to my friends and then everybody will want one. (And yes, I plan to pay you for it.) I love pink! I love glitter! Think Mariah Carey meets meets Helen Mirren.
