Fresh Ink (Part 2)

Last Wednesday at 5:30 I showed up at Tikki Tatto to get my color, I wasn't sure if we'd be able to get it all done in one sitting. Apparently I'm tougher than most, I sat for 5 hours, with a couple of breaks, and I left the shop just after 11 p.m. I love Travis my tattoo guy, he does great work as you can see, and he's really a down to earth good guy.

I probably have about 3 days of healing left, it's still a little bit pealy. Steve called me "scabby" all day yesterday, as it wasn't pretty with all the chunks of colored skin falling off. And when I took my shower yesterday morning, and again last night the washcloth looked like it was covered in fun-fetti. Anyway, hope you enjoy my tattoo as much as I do. : )

    Wow! You sat for 5 hours?! I'm very impressed. It really looks good, Madge! I really like the part that looks braided (in the picture, at least).

    I'm impressed with your five hours, too. According to my tattoo guy, my skin turns into a blown up balloon after tw0 - three.

    Here's a shocker: my favorite is the pink lily.

    I'm glad I got it done too, The lily did turn out really good. I'd have sleeves if I knew I would never have to work again.

    It does sort of look braided doesn't it, I think it's just shading. But he's an amazing artist.

    It's gorgeous and you're very brave.  I've been wanting a small guardian angel on my right shoulder for several years now.   I think I need to be in a coma first though.  ;)

    Thanks Jayne, You'd be surprised how much it doesn't hurt. Kind of a cross between a cat scratch and electric toothbrush. Most the time a paper cut hurts worse. Just go do it.
